I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Today, officers from the Valentines SNT were out in the community engaging with residents as part of our ongoing commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). We were proud to speak with women across Redbridge, gathering vital responses to our VAWG survey — focusing on underpasses and public spaces around Ilford town centre. Every response helps us understand where and why women and girls feel unsafe in our borough , and what improvements they want to see. From lighting and CCTV to reporting barriers, your voices directly shape how we police and improve safety. We want to hear from ALL women in Redbridge. If you haven't yet filled in the survey, please come forward , your feedback is crucial. https://www.smartsurvey We also reminded residents: Your safety matters , you will be listened to.Every report helps build a safer Redbridge Together, we can make our streets, underpasses, and public spaces safer for every woman and girl.

We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years. |
