Cyclist found unconscious on road in Clare

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was found unconscious in the middle of the road in Clare.

Police were called by the ambulance service just before 11am yesterday, Tuesday 5 May, to reports that a cyclist had been found on Snow Hill with head injuries.

The cyclist, a woman aged in her 70s, was taken to hospital by land ambulance with serious injuries.

At this time, it is not clear what the circumstances are or how she became injured.
