Cycling Patrols |

Today our team conducted cycling patrols across the area, responding to reports of anti-social behaviour and monitoring local locations. We cycled along Manor Court, Forty Hill, Mahon Close, Lanyard Road and surrounding streets to keep the community safe and visible.
During our patrols, we noticed several vehicles with windows left partially or fully open. This is an important reminder to all residents and visitors that fully securing your vehicle is essential to prevent opportunistic crime.
Vehicle Crime Prevention Advice:
✅ Always close and lock all windows completely – even if you’re only away for a short time, or if you think your vehicle is hidden from view.
✅ Lock all doors and check they are secure before leaving your vehicle unattended.
✅ Never leave valuables on display – remove items like phones, wallets, bags, GPS devices, or shopping, or keep them out of sight in the glove compartment or boot. Even small items can attract thieves.
✅ Take all valuables with you if possible, or store them in the locked boot where they cannot be seen from outside.
✅ Ensure sunroofs and tailgates are fully closed and locked too – these are common entry points for opportunist thieves.
✅ If you see anything suspicious or witness any crime, please report it immediately – contact the police on 101, or call 999 in an emergency.
Your help in keeping our area secure makes a real difference. Thank you for your cooperation.
