Humberston & New Waltham Crime Data: April 2026

Dear residents, please find crime data update for March 2026- I want to share and celebrate that last month across the wards saw a slight season increase in crime but still remains low in the area which could not of been achieved without all the work of you the community, our partners and the local policing team do on a daily basis. 

Crime Headlines:
There were forty-eight reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Wards for March 2026 although much of this has been in Humberston this month which has resulted in additional patrols from your local team and other resources in the affected areas. 

On 2nd March 2026, damage was caused to a caravan at a local caravan park in HUMBERSTON by a suspect who caused damage to the furniture. 

On 13th March 2026, there was a public order incident at a retail premises on HEWITTS CIRCUS, CLEETHORPES in which the suspect was verbally abusive towards staff before leaving the store. 

On 21st March 2026, there was an incident of affray on EAGLE DRIVE, HUMBERSTON. Armed police attended and the suspect was arrested for this matter. Updated- The suspect has since been charged with the offence. 

Our priorities moving forward in May/June 2026 period will be focusing on Anti-Social Behaviour and Community related issues.  

Crime:                                                                                                                       
Nineteen reports of low-level assaults.                                                                                                                           
Ten reports of Harassment.                                                                                                       
Eleven reports Criminal Damage. 
Four vehicle related offences. 
Fix reported shop thefts from Tesco / Co-Op / Spar in New Waltham & Humberston.
One report of Burglary.         

ASB:
There have been nine reports of ASB incidents across both villages:
Two reports of illegal offroad motorbikes on 
BECKLANDS AVENUE & PEAKS PARKWAY, NEW WALTHAM
Two reports of begging at TESCO, HEWITTS CIRCUS, CLEETHORPES.
Four reports of youth related ASB in NEW WALTHAM/HUMBERSTON.

Following the update provided last month there has been no further changes to the team whilst can be seen listed below.

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work. We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area. The number to call for non-emergency issues is 101.
