⚠️ Community Safety Alert – Nitrous Oxide Canisters Found

We would like to make residents aware that a number of empty nitrous oxide canisters have been found by ourselves on the public car park outside a the community centre on the estate.

🚨 Why this is a concern

Nitrous oxide misuse presents several risks:

Health dangers, including loss of consciousness, breathing difficulties, nerve damage, and accidents.

Risk to children and vulnerable people, who may come into contact with discarded canisters.

Anti-social behaviour, noise disturbance, and littering.

Legal consequences – possession or misuse of nitrous oxide is illegal under current legislation, and those involved may face enforcement action.

Discarded canisters can also pose physical hazards, such as sharp edges, and should not be handled by members of the public.

👀 What to look out for

Groups loitering in car parks or secluded areas late at night

Silver canisters, balloons, or loud popping/hissing sounds

Increased littering or damage in communal spaces
