Local Priorities Cycle Enabled Mobile phone theft Concern Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

A Male from Hackney Central was arrested today by officers from The Homerton Neighbourhood team who are investigateing a Theft - Snatch of an mobile phone which occured in the early morning on Friday the 1st May 2026 on Dalston lane E5 at a bus stop opposite Clapton Square E5. The male is currently in Custody.
