Police are investigating a burglary in your area that occurred at 0120 hours on the 2nd of May 2026 on a farm nearby Newton Morrell, Stapleton.

Thieves have stolen a Yamaha Kodiak 450 quad bike, which was fortunately later recovered by police in the Darlington area, due to the fitted tracker transmitting it's location.

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe?

Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

Security Advice

Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.

Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.
