On Saturday 2nd May, myself and colleagues from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team were out on patrol across Wincheap Ward targeting nuisance off‑road vehicles, which residents have raised as an ongoing concern.
During the operation, we stopped a red quad bike that was being ridden in an orchard area behind the Wincheap Allotments. The vehicle was seized, and appropriate action is now being taken in relation to offences identified.
We want to reassure residents that reports of nuisance and anti-social behaviour are taken seriously. Further offences involving off‑road vehicles will be dealt with robustly, and patrols in the area will continue.
