Fire this evening

This evening, while on patrol in the Hope area, officers identified a significant fire on the hillside adjacent to Thornhill Lane, between Aston and Thornhill.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were promptly notified, and a crew from Hathersage attended swiftly, successfully bringing the fire under control, with additional support provided by a Buxton crew.

The fire involved a storage unit located within a field, and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
