Woolwich - Diamond Buddhist Centre Procession 1 May 2026

Woolwich Town Centre Team officers were honoured to accompany members of the Diamond Buddhist Centre on their Vesak Poya (Buddha Day) procession through Woolwich to General Gordon Square.  Visitors to the Square may have seen the colourful flags and outfits worn by the Woolwich Nepalese community to commemorate their sacred festival on 1 May.
