Local Policing Priorities update – Ware and Stanstead Abbotts |
||
|
Neighbourhood Policing Teams across #Ware and #StansteadAbbotts have been tackling the issues that you said matter most to you.
They set local policing priorities every four months, providing a specific focus on the concerns that residents have raised through surveys, alongside an analysis of data.
During the last period in the Ware area, to help reduce anti-social behaviour and anti-social driving in Stanstead Abbotts High Street, and in Lady Margaret Gardens, Fanhams Hall Road and King George Park in Ware, officers have:
Conducted several operations in Stanstead Abbotts under Operation Tonnage, during which vehicles over 7.5 tonnes are stopped, spoken to, and advised regarding the weight restriction. Repeat offenders have been identified during these operations and as a result have been issued tickets. Ongoing monitoring and enforcement will continue, to ensure that the issue continues to stop.
Local Neighbourhood Policing Team has been actively patrolling priority areas including King George Park, Lady Margaret Gardens, and Fanham’s Hall Road, responding to community concerns around anti-social behaviour.
Officers and PCSOs have carried out frequent high visibility patrols across the area. No recent issues have been identified during multiple checks of King George Park and Lady Margaret Gardens.
Officers have coordinated with the Future Hope Bus team (Youth Development workers). Their team will support youth engagement work to help reduce anti-social behaviour in the priority location.
It is not too late to submit your thoughts - no one knows an area better than the people who live and work in it and your insight plays a big part in our decision making, helping to shape the priorities, alongside an analysis of local data. It’s not just your local Neighbourhood Policing Team keeping Ware and Stanstead Abbotts safe. We also have: Officers responding to emergencies
Detectives investigating crimes like burglary and assault
Specialist units tackling issues such as domestic abuse and acquisitive crime
