Caterham Dispersal Order

Police were called to Croydon Road, Caterham shortly before 7.20pm on Thursday, 30th April following reports of a large fight at the location involving a group of youths.

Five people were arrested on suspicion of affray: a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old boy, two 16-year-old boys, and a 17-year-old boy. They remain in police custody at this time.

A dispersal order has been authorised by Inspector Rob Staplehurst across Caterham Valley from 5pm tonight (Friday, 1st May) until 5pm on Sunday, 3 rd   May. Dispersal orders give officers the power to order a group of two or more people to leave an area if they are committing, or are likely to commit, a criminal offence. You may see additional officers patrolling the area during this time as a result.
