Vehicle Chop Shop - Campbell Road E3

Police officers from the Tower Hamlets Task Force, obtained intelligence that suggested an Archway Garage in Campbell Road was being used as a Lost or Stolen Vehicle Chop Shop.

Inside officers found a fully functioning “chop shop” with 3 confirmed lost or stolen vehicles, 2 Mercedes and a BMW, and confirmed stolen parts from at least 8 other cars.

Also within the garage were masses of bubble wrap and cellophane wrapping being used to wrap all the parts once stripped down and prepped for shipping.

Specialist Crime estimated approximately £100k worth of property within the garage.

This update is to notify the local community and raise awareness on disused garages/arches.

During evenings and nights is when people were allegedly using the garage.
