Preventing unlicenced music events this weekend |
||
|
We are aware of the significant impact unlicenced music events (raves) can have on our residents and we want to provide reassurance that we’re doing everything possible to prevent any illegal activity this bank holiday weekend.
Officers will be stepping up preventative patrols at 11 locations, which may be vulnerable to unlicenced events taking place and we’ve been working very closely with land owners and other partners such as the Ministry of Defence to strengthen security arrangements.
We would ask our communities to report unusual activity such as large groups arriving late at night or early morning to remote, industrial, rural or warehouse locations or significant convoys of vehicles or foot traffic in unusual places by calling us on 999.
We are working hard to protect our countryside and prevent any impact of anti-social behaviour on local residents. Reporting to us at the earliest opportunity gives us the best possible opportunity to respond appropriately and ensure everyone in Dorset can have a good safe summer. | ||
