Ward Sergeant's update |
||
|
It’s been a beautiful week to be out on foot patrol with the sun shining, we’ve put in the miles across the streets of Belsize and Gospel Oak wards. It’s been great to stop and speak with many members of the community, hearing both your positive and constructive feedback.
Regarding feedback, I’ve received some very encouraging comments about Met Engage and how it’s helping the community better understand what the police respond to and deal with daily.
At present, 189 members of the Belsize community and 236 members of the Gospel Oak community are signed up to Met Engage. To help my team and I connect with even more residents, I would be grateful for your support. Please spread the Met Engage word to neighbours, friends and community groups you’re involved with, every share and sign up helps us to help you.

Here’s what your Safer Neighbourhood Teams have been up to this week.
Some of the team have been taken away from their usual day‑to‑day role, to assist the Emergency Response Team, responding to emergency calls from residents and visitors in Camden. Stop and search activity resulting in the arrest of a male for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Numerous miles of reassurance patrols carried out across the wards. A total of 24 live investigations currently underway, including drug‑related offences, assault, harassment, having a dog dangerously out of control and anti‑social behaviour (ASB). A school visit conducted to speak with children about appropriate behaviour in public spaces and how to stay safe. Partnership working with Camden Council with regards to addresses of concern. If there’s a particular policing topic you’d like me to write about in future, relating to the work we do in Belsize and Gospel Oak, please feel free to get in touch and let me know. I’ll do my best to cover it.
Whatever your plans this weekend, I hope you have a great one. You might want to keep a raincoat handy though, as it looks like the sunshine is coming to an end after today ☹
As always, we can’t be everywhere, but we can be anywhere.
Until next time…
