Police Nitrous Oxide Patrols

Dear Resident

We are carrying out an operation to tackle the illegal use and sale of nitrous oxide.

Inhaling nitrous oxide carries a range of health risks and is against the law. It is also a significant contributor to antisocial behaviour, and we are increasingly seeing cases of people driving while under its influence – in some instances with fatal consequences.

Officers today have been at the following locations which our followers on a previous facebook thread stated were hot spot areas for nitrous oxide offences in North Warwickshire.

You can help us. 

If you have information about where nitrous oxide is being used (discarded canisters are often a clear sign) or where it is being sold illegally, please report it.

Further patrols are planned and drop a comment below if you know of any further hot spot locations or report online.

Your reports help us plan targeted patrols and focus our efforts where they are most needed.

Officers have also recently charged an individual with possession of nitrous oxide after we found him in an Atherstone industrial estate with a large quantity of the gas. Case number relates 23/N5/13426/26.
