Trio of Officers leads to Trio of Arrests in the Northern Quarter

Today officers from the Northern Quarter and Piccadilly Ward Team to tackle issues regarding anti-social behaviour and drug use around William Fairburn Way / Oak Street / Union Street and Thomas Street.

Our keen eyed trio have today been around Tib Street when two nominals known for anti-social activity on William Fairburn Way have been sighted and quickly pursued by NQ officers, detained after a short chase onto Oak Street.

Both offenders were quickly detained and arrested for theft offences in the Northern Quarter as part of investigations around the vincinity conducted by officers PC Barnwell and PC Read into burglary and theft offences to assist in securing civil orders against our repeat offenders. Both of which were searched with PC Barnwell locating a substantial amount of cannabis on one of these suspects believed to be linked to dealing activity on Thomas Street and William Fairburn Way.

PC Hunt who has also been assisting from his usual beat on the village / canal street and also been hot on the heels of NQ offenders whereby he has also sighted one female hidden away on Union Street who was wanted for breaching court bail leading to her arrest and charged.
