Fire Works found in Dove stones

Dear residents.

This morning we received information of found discarded firework casings in one of the upper fields at Dovestones. This is particularly concerning given that the area is covered by a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO).

Although no damage to the moorland or surrounding area appears to have occurred on this occasion, it is clear that some individuals are still visiting the site with prohibited items. 

The PSPO exists to prevent moorland fires and protect both the landscape and nearby property.

We urge everyone visiting Dovestones and the wider PSPO‑protected area to remain vigilant. If you see anyone in possession of fireworks, BBQs, or any open flame, items all prohibited under the order. Please report it to us immediately.

Your Neighbourhood Team will continue to patrol the area and will take positive action against anyone found with these items.
