Busy week!

Heywood Neighbourhood Team: Smashing Crime and Expectations!
The past three days have been nothing short of action-packed for the Heywood Neighbourhood Team. Here’s a quick recap of our adventures (and yes, we brought the “big red key” along for the ride):

Stash House Shenanigans

We paid a visit to a local stash house, and let’s just say, the welcome mat wasn’t exactly rolled out for us. The occupants and their friends seemed less than thrilled to see us, but we spotted a wanted offender inside. Cue the “big red key” making its grand entrance! The surprised faces were priceless as we made arrests:
•    One male was arrested for a recent violent disorder and a recall to prison.
•    Another was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class C drugs and possession of Class B drugs.

Lesson of the day: If you’re hiding out, maybe don’t invite your mates over for a party.

Warrant Wonderland

Today, we teamed up with our colleagues from Response, Middleton Neighbourhood, and the District Tutor Unit to execute three warrants across Heywood. The results? A treasure trove of arrests and seizures:
 

4 arrests for offences including:

•    Money laundering (because who needs a legitimate bank account, right?).
•    Possession of Class A drugs (mushrooms – not the kind you put on pizza).
•    Possession of Class B drugs (cannabis – no surprise there).
•    Possession with intent to supply Class C drugs (40 bottles of nitrous oxide – Someone's Coffee isn't going to be using the creamer machine ).
•    Cash estimated at £100,000 (we’re still counting, but it’s a lot).
•    Clothing worth approximately £10,000 (designer wardrobes don’t pay for themselves, apparently).
•    Cultivating cannabis (approximately 85 plants – that’s one garden we won’t be watering).

Lesson of the day:  Crime Doesn’t Pay: But it does buy some very expensive clothes, which we’re now holding onto!
