NL63 Monthly Newsletter
April 2026 Newsletter -Loughborough South
Welcome to the monthly update for the residents and communities of the Loughborough South Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
NL 63 Beat Team
Retail theft on the beat Retail theft remains a key priority within the Loughborough South beat. Regular high‑visibility patrols have continued across identified retail locations to deter offending and reassure businesses. Several prolific offenders have been arrested as a result of targeted patrols and intelligence-led activity. Ongoing work is in place to gather further evidential packages to support successful prosecutions. In addition, partnership work continues to progress Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs) against repeat offenders, with the aim of reducing reoffending and safeguarding retail staff and businesses.
Drugs and an increase in reporting of their use and dealing. Targeted patrols are being carried out at locations highlighted through community reports and police intelligence, aimed at deterring offending, disrupting drug-related activity, and providing reassurance to residents. Further enforcement and partnership activity will be considered as intelligence develops.
ASB Anti‑social behaviour has been raised as a concern by local residents. There have been reports of dirt bikes and motorbikes being ridden on and around Allendale Field, the golf course, and Nanpantan Sports Ground, causing nuisance and safety concerns. Officers are continuing to spend time in these areas to understand what is happening and identify those involved. We are working to gather information from the community and through patrols, and will take action where appropriate. Our aim is to stop this behaviour early, reassure residents, and make sure these spaces can be used safely by everyone. This includes speaking with those involved, explaining the impact of their actions, and using enforcement options where necessary.
