Sheep worrying

You may have seen a recent incident on social media involving a sheep being attacked by a dog in Trawden. We have identified the dog and its owner who has now compensated the loss to the victim. The owner of the dog will be given an order to ensure the dog is kept on a lead and muzzled in public places. Thank you to those that have assisted in this investigation.

This is a timely reminder that all dogs must be on leads when there is a chance that livestock may be grazing within the fields. Sheep worrying is a criminal offence that carries unlimited fines.
