Community Engagement - Youth Club at the Salvation Army |
Hello Resident,
This evening I attended The Salvation Army in Willesborough to engage with the local youth club. We played a “true or false” game where I read out statements about policing, the law, and police powers, and the children had to decide whether they were true or false. The activity was both educational and fun, and it encouraged lots of great questions from the group. I also set up a mock case for them to solve as junior detectives. They reviewed evidence, interviewed suspects, and read witness statements before deciding who they believed the offender was. This was not only a brilliant team‑building exercise but also gave them a realistic insight into what it’s like to be a police officer. Overall, this was a very positive engagement. I was able to connect with and build relationships with young people in our community, helping to strengthen trust and understanding. Please check the Kent Police website and MCV for details of any upcoming engagements.
Many thanks
