No Place to Hide – Stolen ATV Found in Woodland |

Another strong day for rural policing – another stolen vehicle recovered, another victim getting their property back, and another example of excellent teamwork 👏
📅 On 21st April 2026, a Derbyshire farmer reported the theft of an ATV. This follows a rise in similar incidents across the county.
🔍 On 27th April, PC Gamble received vital intelligence about a suspected stolen off-road vehicle hidden in woodland near Gleadless, Sheffield.
🌲 After a thorough and protracted land search, officers located a £16,000 ATV concealed in dense foliage – now recovered and soon to be returned to its rightful owner.
🔧 Offenders had even attempted to damage the registration plate to avoid identification – but it wasn’t enough.
🤝 A big thank you to PC Wheelwright from Clowne SNT and PC Staniforth from Killamarsh SNT, who quickly jumped into action to assist in identifying and recovering the vehicle alongside colleagues from NCATT – National Construction & Agricultural Theft Team and SYP Motorcycle and Rural Crime Team.
🚨 This type of crime has a real impact on farmers’ livelihoods, especially during already challenging financial times.
