Increased reports of cold callers in the area.

Hello,

We have had a few reports of people attending addresses and trying to sell items, such as benches and aerial photographs of premises.  I'm sure most of you are aware that people require a pedlars certificate to do door to door selling and it is more than likely the people we are seeing do not.  There has been no suggestion that there has been any pressure or aggression used by these people but from past incidents we know that this isn't always the case. 

Please pass this onto any elderly/vulnerable neighbours who may not be on our messaging system just to make them aware and report any incidents of someone attending an address selling items.  We will follow reports up.  

We do have ‘No Cold Caller’ signs that can be put in windows or on doors, you can pop into your local Police Station for one or ask about one at a Community Engagement event a local PC/PCSO is attending.
