PCSO MONTHLY WARD UPDATE
Welcome to your monthly Hangleton & Knoll Ward update by Beat PCSO Sharon Baker for the month of March.
Ward Priorities Speeding Vehicles, Electric Bikes, Anti-Social Behaviour
Ward Update The ward priorities for this month are speeding vehicles, electric bikes (no pedalling required) especially those modified or requiring no pedalling and anti social behaviour by youths in our local supermarkets. Speeding vehicles remain a risk to drivers and pedestrians, if you witness this happening please submit a report on the Op Crackdown website. www.operationcrackdown.org. The website can be used to report anti-social driving and abandoned vehicles in Sussex. The majority of our roads are 20mph and I will be deploying our Speed Indication Device at certain points to enforce this limit. If you witness speeding electric bicycles, please also make a report with as much detail as you can. Dates and times will help to build a picture of the areas of most concern and action can then be taken. This can be reported on the non-emergency number 101, or Sussex Police website. www.sussex.police.uk – report a crime. Reports of Anti-social behaviour by youths in a stairwell and then refusing to leave when asked to, was a concern for some residents, as they felt intimidated. This is not the first time a report in that particular block has been received. We have had four reported burglaries for the month of March, which remains high and patrols and investigation into these are ongoing. Please be reminded to keep valuables out of sight and locked away where possible. Do not post on-line when you are away from your premises, or share any personal details with people you do not know. Keep all Social Media private, this is also important if you are away from home even for a short period of time.
Incidents of Note / Any other Business A shoplifting in a supermarket where staff were also assaulted, drug dealing by two males in the street, a broken mirror on a vehicle parked on a residential street, car back window smashed and a stolen van. Theft of mail. Kids ringing doorbells and a housefire.
