I just wanted to pass on some good work the NPT team have carried out over the last 2-3 months to tackle criminality in our community

Guisborough NPT have arrested and charged over 5 individuals for various offences. These include;

An individual who was wanted for over 10 shoplifting incidents - Arrested, charged and custodial sentence.

An individual who was wanted for over 5 shoplifting incidents - Arrested, charged and sentenced.

An individual who failed to appear at magistrates court for a racially aggravated public order offence - Arrested, charged and sentenced.

An individual who was searched and found to have drugs and a knife in their possession - Arrested, charged and sentenced.

An individual who failed to appear at magistrates court for a theft - When arrested by police, found to have breached a Domestic Abuse Protection Order - Charged and custodial sentence.

Guisborough NPT have carried out regular activities during this time such as; visible patrols, community engagements, crime prevention and problem solving.

Guisborough NPT have carried out home visits to those youths responsible for ASB issues in the town centre. This will continue to be monitored as we approach the summer. Consideration for dispersal orders and civil orders for those responsible are being discussed.

Guisborough NPT are currently applying for a closure order through Teesside Magistrates Court for a property on the HELMSLEY DRIVE estate. This property has caused fear and concern for local residents. Guisborough NPT will continue to pursue offenders, using all aspects of the law and partner agencies.
