||
|
Dear Residents,
👮🏽 Yesterday - Friday 24th April 2026, Ross-On-Wye PCSO's Dave ALEXANDER and Kirsten KYSOW were supported by OPU's PC Meg CARR, PC Nick PROSSER and PC Callum RIDYARD at locations on the teams Policing area conducting Speed Enforcement checks along with speaking with residents and road users affected by Road Safety concerns.
Ross Town Council, Much Marcle Parish Council, Peterstow Parish Council, Upton Bishop, Whitchurch & Ganarew Parish Council, Goodrich & Welsh Bicknor Parish Council , Llangarron & Llangrove Parish Council have asked the SNT team to prioritise "Speeding" in their areas. This means that local residents are concerned about speeding in their area.
As always, the outcome of our activity is a direct response to how road users comply with the speed limit in an area.
PC Ridyard was out on Alton Road, Ross-On-Wye & spoke with 5 residents - who were pleased of his presence & use of speed gun on their road. PC Ridyard was pleased to report that no road users were speeding during the time he was there.
PC's Carr and Prosser were out and about in the Ross-On-Wye area on faster roads - unfortunately 71 excess speed offences were recorded.
PCSO's Alexander and Kysow are shown conducting speed checks on Walford Road, and Ledbury Road-Peterstow. They later completed patrols in our HOTSPOT areas for Poaching - Yatton, Sollers Hope, How Caple and Brockhampton. If you would like to speak to the team about Road Safety, please email the team mailbox rossonwye.snt@westmercia.police.uk
