🚨 Police Notice – Obstructive Parking  🚨

Dear residents.

The Nedge Safer Neighbourhood Team have received reports of vehicles being parked in a manner that completely obstructs the public footpath on Clover Grove, Randlay. This is unacceptable and creates a significant safety risk, particularly for wheelchair users, those with mobility scooters, and people with pushchairs, who are being forced into the road.

Parking that obstructs the highway, including footpaths and dropped kerbs, may constitute an offence. 

Drivers are reminded:

• It is an offence to wilfully obstruct the highway

• Footpaths must be kept clear and accessible at all times

• Dropped kerbs and access points must not be blocked

• Vehicles must not obstruct driveways or entrances

🚔 Officers will be conducting patrols in the Clover Grove area, and enforcement action will be taken where offences are identified. This may include fixed penalty notices or further action where appropriate.

We strongly advise all motorists to consider how and where they park. Obstructive parking endangers others and disproportionately impacts vulnerable members of our community.
