VAWG - VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS - MILMAY ROAD ILFORD

On FRIDAY 24/04/2026 between 1700hrs and 1800hrs Police Community Support officer PCSO7069EA BUGG engaged with the women of Ilford while they were going into the Ilford Town Centre or coming back from work, PCSO 7069EA BUGG spoke to them about violence against women and girls. Prevention information was given to all on what to do if they are a victim or know anyone who is suffering in silence. The women were explained how to report a incidents. Also explained how to report by calling 101 - 999 via online or visiting Ilford Police Station to report.

As Redbridge is a diverse area victim whose language is not fluent English they have been informed that the Metropolitan police have language line which will help the victims speak there respected language and will be translated into English. The Metropolitan Police in Ilford Police Station have female officer who speak different language who are willing to help so the suspect feels comfortable.
