|
Dear Resident, A man has been arrested after a fatal crash on the A1303, prompting a police appeal for witnesses. The collision happened at about 4.45pm yesterday (23 April) at the junction with Bell Road at Bottisham and involved a silver Honda motorbike and a white Kia EV4. Police and paramedics attended but the biker, a 62-year-old man from Newmarket, died at the scene. The driver of the Kia, a 36-year-old man from Stevenage, was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not thought to be seriously injured. He has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has now been bailed pending further enquiries. Did you see anything? We're appealing for information and dashcam footage from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the vehicles in the time leading up to it. Anyone with information should contact us online here quoting Operation Excel. Those without internet access should call 101. Please do not reply to this message or use eCops to report information. Kind regards,
