Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 12.59am on Thursday 16 April in Portland Street, Sutton in Ashfield, two people wearing balaclavas and black clothing tried a door handle but ran away when the lights were turned on. Between 12 noon and 6.00pm on Saturday 18 April in Caunt’s Crescent, Sutton in Ashfield, a door lock was tampered with while the owner was out. The door could not be opened as the key would no longer fit.. Burglary Other Nothing to report Theft of motor vehicle Between 5.45am and 6.45am on Monday 20 April in Foxhill Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a Land Rover Discovery Sport, parked outside a property, was stolen. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft At 12.58am on Sunday 19 April in Percival Crescent, Sutton in Ashfield, a male passenger was dropped off by a taxi. He entered a property and refused to come out and pay the fare. At some time on Friday 17 April in Forest Road, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, a KuKirin scooter was stolen from outside the Skegby Mini Market. Robbery At 5.42pm on Thursday 16 April at Home Bargains, Station Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a white male shoplifter, 5-09”, wearing a green hat, black and grey work trousers, black and white/grey trainers with a blue rucksack, grabbed a shopworkers by the wrists and pushed her out the door when she tried to stop him leaving with stolen goods. Criminal Damage At 7.23pm on Saturday 18 April in Brierly Road, Sutton in Ashfield, the outer glass of a window was cracked. ASB At 6.46pm on Thursday 16 April in Blackwell Road, Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield, a group of six, 9 to 16 year old youngsters, male and female, were booting house doors, being abusive and leaving scuff marks and cracks in two doors. They walked off towards Sutton. At 9.29am on Friday 17 April in Brierly Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of two males rough sleeping in the stairwell of a block of flats. One had a dog. At 6.10pm on Saturday 18 April at Forest Retail Park, Forest Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a group of quite young looking youngsters on the roof of the Charity shop opposite Halfords. Between 12 noon and 3.09pm on Sunday 19 April in Thornton Street, Sutton in Ashfield, three 10/11 year old boys have kicked a door seven times since 12 o’clock and run away. One was wearing a No.5 football shirt in black and orange, a second was wearing glasses and a blue t-shirt. At 8.20pm on Monday 20 April at Enjoy Pizza, Station Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of three males throwing stones at the shop window. Two were on bicycles , one on foot. At 6.50pm on Wednesday 22 April in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of three males climbing up the scaffolding and onto the roof of the old Wilkinson’s Store, two in t-shirts and shorts, the third in a black t-shirt and trousers. They were also throwing drinks cans down onto the path below.
