Local Priorities Road Safety Issues Update

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

On the 23rd April between 9.30AM and 2PM, the local neighbourhood policing team attended a joint operation (Operation Atol) with the fire service and casualty reduction officer to tackle speeding on Cyncoed Road, Cyncoed where offenders were provided with a short speed awareness course on site, provided by the fire services.
In total, 40 cars were stopped throughout the course of the day whereby 39 were offered the speed awareness course and 1 was issued with points and a fine.
