Scam phone calls to alcohol licensed businesses

We ask for all alcohol licensed businesses to be wary of cold telephone calls asking for an alcohol licensing fee/overdue licence to be paid, as we have been made aware of a shop in Devon receiving a scam call.

If you receive a similar call that you are not expecting, please hang up and check with the licensing department for your local council.

Please inform all staff of this and consider passing this information on to other similar businesses.
