Assault 17/04/2026 – Whilst waiting for an order in Chaiiwala, Gallions Reach, one customer became inpatient and pushed another.
Attempted Robbery 16/04/2026 – A youth approached another in MacDonald’s and asked to see his phone. The would-be victim refused, his mother appeared on scene and chased the suspect off. 20/04/2026 – A group approached a Kingsford School pupil and asked for his phone. The victim fought them off and a teacher came to his aid.
Robbery 16/04/2026 – Five males have approached another in Sapphire Close. They took his property and made him transfer money from his phone to another bank account. 21/04/26 – Three males approached a lone male in Savage gardens. They went through his pockets and took his phone.
Criminal Damage 17/04/2026 - Graffiti on the road in Redstart Close. The artistry included the words “Poop”, “sexy”, “gang” and some smiley faces. 19/04/26 – A vehicle door had been drilled in Premier Inn car park. Nothing was stolen.
Hate Crime Four boys aged around 10-11 verbally abused a 60-year-old women on Tollgate Road. They called her names and referred to her skin colour.
Road Rage 21/04/2026 – An argument over driving and parking in Gallions Road.
Theft From Vehicle 16/04/26 – A catalytic converter was stolen in Gallions Reach Car Park. 17/04/26 – Parcels were stolen from a delivery van on Remington Road. 20/04/26 – Parcels stolen from a delivery van in Windsor Terrace
Theft 18/04/26 - Parcel theft at Cargo House, 1 Silley Weir Promenade 20/04/26 – Parcel theft at Cargo House, 1 Silley Weir Promenade 21/04/26 – A leaf blower was stolen in Savage Gardens. 19/04/26 – Clothes were taken from a charity bin in Tesco.
Theft From a Person 17/04/26 – Cycle enabled phone snatch by Beckton DLR 21/04/26 - Cycle enabled phone snatch by Beckton DLR 19/04/26 – Distraction theft at the ASDA cash machines 20/04/26 – Males approached another in Beckton District Park. They asked to see his phone. They took it and left the area. 21/04/26 – An Allegation of the pickpocketing of a phone in ASDA. No Suspect was seen.
That’s all the headlines from the streets of Beckton this week.
Two cycle enabled snatches this week both at Beckton DLR. Snatchers have also been sighted in and around Gallions Reach DLR. Please be aware of your surroundings when using your phone, especially at transport hubs. Keep your phones in your pockets or if you need to use your phone, angle yourself so the phone can’t be seen or swiped.
