Dear Residents; On 22nd April 2025 at around 1400hrs officers from GMP Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit discovered a Stolen Peugeot 208 Car, parked on Iona Place, Tonge Moor.
The vehicle was found to be stolen yesterday from Haslingden Area of Lancashire.
When discovered the vehicle was unattended. It has now been recovered for forensic examination and return to the owner. We are appealing for further information regarding this theft / vehicle.
Did you see anyone leaving the vehicle? Did you see anything suspicious regarding this vehicle? Do you have any dashcam footage or CCTV footage that may captures the vehicle or anyone associated with it in the area around that the time?

In the event you have CCTV or Dashcam footage please preserve this footage by saving it or downloading it from the device. We will then be able to send you a link to upload the footage to our CCTV Portal.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, The Neighbourhood Policing Team and Forensic Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are working hard to bring the offenders to justice and will be increasing activity and vigilance in the affected areas.
