Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
The Dalston Safer Neighbourhood Team have continued to receive reports of drug dealing on Colvestone Crescent and have increased patrols. Yesterday (22/04/2026) officers went to stop a group, where one male made off. He was chased and detained after trying to hide in residents' gardens. A quantity of Class A drugs were recovered on the street and further Class A and a quantity of Class B drugs were recovered from his home address. The male has now been charged and remanded to court for Possession with Intent to Supply Class A, Class B and criminal damage. We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years. | ||
