Road Closure.

Dear Resident,

the bollard on Union Street which is used to help close the road for the pedestrian zone on Bradshawgate in Leigh is currently not working and is stuck in the down position allowing vehicular access onto the Pedestrianised areas on Bradshawgate, Leigh.

Work is due to commence on Friday 24th April 2026 in order to repair this bollard and get it operational again.

This means when Union Street is used by traffic; those who want to access to properties outside 10.30 am – 4pm times would not be able to due to the one-way system in place on Bradshawgate. Therefore, we will be revoking the one way between Back Market Street and Union Street. This can be used to get to the properties but only outside the pedestrian zone times as normal. A sign will be in place to show this.

Please can you bear this in mind if you are visiting Leigh Town Centre over the next week or so.
