West Mercia Police LED replacement programme generating cost savings and carbon reductions 

Committed to making sure communities get best value whilst at the same time building a more sustainable and efficient policing estate for the future, the PCC's Estates team and West Mercia Police are delivering both cost savings and carbon reductions with their LED replacement programme. 

Launched in 2023, the project is expected to deliver total savings of around £125,000 every year from the end of 2026, together with reduced emissions of 130 tonnes annually. 

It also brings West Mercia closer to becoming a Net Zero force by 2050. Great news for Earth Day today 22nd April!
