A highly successful My Community Voice event was recently held at University of Greenwich, attracting an excellent turnout and strong engagement from students. It was particularly encouraging to see such a positive, welcoming, and proactive presence from the university community throughout the session.
The event focused on raising awareness around financial fraud prevention, led by Sophie Day (59896), North Kent Fraud Prevention Co-ordinator within Protect & Prevent, Intelligence, Essex & Kent Serious Crime Directorate. Her session equipped students with essential knowledge and practical guidance to better protect themselves from scams, delivering clear, relevant insights that are increasingly important in today’s digital landscape.
A key highlight of the event was the police recruitment presentation delivered by Sgt Raj Dusanjh (46013119), whose engaging and informative approach was exceptionally well received. The session provided valuable insight into policing careers and inspired meaningful interest among attendees.
This collaborative event was delivered by the CSU Unit, with contributions from a dedicated team including PC Heather Greenwood (46014228), PC Jack Coverley-Saich (46014944), Katy Barnes (46062876), and Terry Anderson (46062733), all of whom played an important role in engaging with students and supporting the delivery of the session.
Thank you to everyone involved for their professionalism, commitment, and teamwork in making this event both informative and impactful for all attendees.
