Aabandoned Vehicles

We’ve seen an increase in people sleeping in abandoned vehicles and unlocked cars. Some may be rough sleepers who need support, but others are using vehicles for criminal activity.

Please help keep your neighbourhood safe by always locking your vehicle and not leaving keys or valuables inside. If you see anyone trying car doors, behaving suspiciously around vehicles, or staying in a vehicle that appears abandoned, please report it.

If someone appears vulnerable and in need of help, you can report this to Rochdale Council or via StreetLink, so outreach teams can offer support.

If there is immediate concern or suspicious activity, call 999. For non‑emergency information, contact GMP on 101 or report online.
