π Riverside Weekly Round Up π Itβs been another busy week for Riverside officers and PCSOs, working hard to keep our communities safe and supported. β½ Football Policing King Power Stadium PC Merryn and PC Fabian are on duty today supporting the Leicester City vs Hull City football match at the King Power Stadium. Officers have worked alongside colleagues to help ensure the event passes safely and to maintain public order, keeping supporters, staff and the wider community safe. Just a shame about the end result and the outcome of this season. π’ π Op Eye Spy Riverside officers, working alongside other City Centre beat teams, carried out targeted activity in Leicester City Centre to tackle drug related offending and anti social behaviour. Using intelligence and CCTV, officers completed stop checks and searches, resulting in drugs being seized, offenders being disrupted, and safeguarding support provided to vulnerable individuals. πΊ Licensing Checks The Riverside beat team carried out licensing checks across pubs, bars and off licences to ensure businesses were operating responsibly. Checks included CCTV systems, age verification policies, and staff awareness of the Ask for Angela scheme. π΄ Operation PedalFast Riverside officers worked alongside the City Centre Beat Team on proactive patrols targeting unsafe and illegal e bikes and e scooters. Checks focused on speed, power and illegal modifications. Officers also worked with Immigration Enforcement to carry out right to work checks. π‘ Community Engagement & Patrols High visibility patrols were carried out across the beat, focusing on priority offences in open spaces, including cycle theft and theft from motor vehicles. Engagements took place at Castle Gardens, NCP St Nicholas Circle Car Park, local business drop ins, DMU pod events, Hotel Voco, and Pavilion Close. This helps us stay connected with our community and thatβs what neighbourhood policing is all about. #Riverside #LeicestercityPolice #inyourcommunity
