Large Drug Bust Successful |

Dear residents,
In the early hours of this morning, your local neighbourhood officers assisted with the execution of a drugs warrant which resulted in the seizure of thousands of pounds worth of illicit and dangerous substances. The operation involved support from the Territorial Support Group (TSG), who executed a no‑knock warrant at a flat, forcing entry and safely arresting two males at the scene. Following this, your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) officers took over the premises and carried out a detailed investigation, while the two suspects were taken into custody.
During the search, officers seized several large bags of suspected crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cannabis, GBL, GHB, MDMA, ecstasy and other controlled substances.
GBL and GHB, or formally known as Gamma-butyrolactone, is a particularly dangerous drugs, commonly associated with “chemsex”. They are highly addictive and have been linked to cause serious harm, including loss of consciousness, comas and deaths. Due to being odourless and colourless they are also known to be used as drink‑spiking or date‑rape drugs, often causing memory loss. Repeat use of this substance will lead to brain damage.
Police also recovered drug‑dealing paraphernalia, including multiple sets of weighing scales, a large quantity of crack pipes, and raw ingredients believed to be used in the production of drugs. In addition, officers seized thousands of pounds in cash, including currency from multiple countries.
We hope this action helps reduce drug‑related harm in Brixton and contributes to making the area a safer place for everyone who lives and works here.
If you have concerns or information about suspected drug dealing in your area, please report it by calling 101 or via the Met Police website. Your information can help us gather intelligence and build the evidence needed to take further enforcement action.
Thank you for your continued support.
