Good News Stories W/E 19th April 2026

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last week, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of. 

In the early hours of 10/04/2026, whilst out on patrol with Supt Cooper and Sgt Kesen in Beckenham, they located a stolen Ford Kuga, which had been taken from Bromley on earlier in the week. It was arranged for the vehicle to be recovered to the pound, and enquiries are ongoing to identify the offender(s).

A joint visit alongside Bromley Council Trading Standards was conducted with the Kelsey and Eden Park team in some of the local shops, there was no issues to report, and all shops that were visited passed the assessments. 

The teams have arrested a number of individuals this week for a number of offences: 

Whilst assisting Croydon with a dispersal order, the teams have arrested a male juvenile for Robbery of personal property after snatching someone’s phone, the investigation has been passed over to the relevant teams to investigate. 

The team have been conducting a number of arrest enquiries; a male has been arrested for a recall to prison and has been passed over to HMP following the arrest. 

Another male inside the address, was also an outstanding suspect for several shoplifting incidents in Beckenham High Street, the male was arrested and charged for 16 accounts of shoplifting.

Beckenham communities together with the Police, Council and partner agencies getting together to discuss what's important about Beckenham. This is the chance for the residents and businesses of Clock House, Kelsey & Eden Park, Beckenham Town & Copers Cope and Shortlands & Park Langley wards to come and meet the local police teams covering those areas, the senior officers from Bromley police, the Council and partner agencies to discuss what is happening in Beckenham and the local issues that matter to you.
