Parcel Theft – Prevention Advice

We are reminding residents to stay alert following reports of parcels being stolen after being left unattended outside properties.

You can help reduce the risk by:

Arranging deliveries for when someone is at home

Using a trusted neighbour or secure delivery location

Asking couriers not to leave parcels in plain view

Collecting deliveries as soon as possible

Using delivery tracking and photo confirmation where available

Consider measures such as secure parcel boxes, locked gates, or video doorbells, which can act as effective deterrents.

If a parcel is stolen, please report it to the retailer and delivery company. You can report the theft to police via 101 or online. Always call 999 if a theft is happening at the time.
