Limehouse ward - Updates

Hello Good People of Limehouse,

Please see below a brief update on recent incidents and community concerns reported across the ward, along with ongoing work by your local team.

Anti-Social Behaviour / Drug Use

We have received reports of individuals using nitrous oxide (“Nox”) inside vehicles near Island Row car park. This behaviour is becoming an increasing concern and is being actively monitored.

There have also been reports of drug use at Dundee Wharf on Three Colt Street, as well as nitrous oxide use from males in a vehicle on Milligan Street, causing concern to residents.

Further reports of drug-related activity have been received on Northey Street, where individuals have been seen using drugs in the area.

Officers are aware of these issues and continue to carry out patrols to address them.

Theft From Motor Vehicle

A number plate was reported stolen on Newell Street.

Please ensure vehicles are secured where possible and consider additional anti-theft measures, particularly for removable items such as number plates.

Ward Panel Update

We held our Ward Panel meeting on Saturday 11th April, and we would like to thank all residents who attended and contributed.

The following locations and issues were discussed as current priorities:
• Narrow Street and Northey Street
• Roche House and Beccles Street
• Milligan Street and Three Colt Street

These areas are being prioritised due to ongoing concerns around anti-social behaviour, vehicle-related ASB, loitering, and drug use. Your local team is actively working to address these issues through patrols, engagement, and enforcement where necessary.

Police & Partner Activity

Your Limehouse Safer Neighbourhood Team continue to carry out targeted patrols across the ward, focusing on the above priority locations and responding to community concerns as they are raised.

We are also working in partnership with Tower Hamlets Council, who have been conducting joint patrols in the area, supporting efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve community safety.

General Advice

• Report drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour as soon as it occurs.
• Do not approach individuals engaging in drug use or ASB.
• Ensure vehicles are locked and number plates are secured where possible.
• Be mindful of suspicious activity and report it via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
