Local Priorities Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of) Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Kent Police would like to make local residents aware of a recent increase reports of vehicle thefts and vehicle interference in the Nailbourne ward, particularly involving Land Rover and other 4x4 vehicles. Offenders are known to target these vehicles due to their popularity and value, often operating at night and in quiet village locations. We strongly encourage residents to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activity, and take practical steps to protect their vehicles, such as using additional security measures, keeping keys and keyless fobs secure, and parking vehicles in well‑lit or secure locations where possible. By working together and staying alert, we can help reduce opportunities for crime and keep our communities safe. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.kent.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
