Plain Clothes Operation at Sainsbury's Worple Road

On Thursday, 16th April, officers conducted a plain clothes operation at the Sainsbury's on Worple Road. Officers worked alongside the Sainsburys security team and the local council to tackle the on-going issue with shoplifters, as a result of this operation we were able to catch multiple offenders who went into the store.

Shoplifting is an on-going concern within Wimbledon Town Centre and we have seen an increase within the past months, if you see anyone trying to shoplift, do not hesitate to inform staff or contact Police on 999 or 101.
