Local Area Update

Dear Resident please see below a weekly update of incidents/crimes/good outcomes in relation to the Benfieldside, Blackhill, Bridgehill and Shotley bridge area over the last week.

Local Update 11th April - 18th April:

On Saturday 11th April police received a call at 1218hrs regarding ¾ youths on the scaffolding at St Aidens Church attempting to get into the building, an area search was conducted but no youths located. If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to the incident or where the bike is coming from, please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote incident no. DHM-11042026-0153 

On Friday 17th April a call was received regarding at 2001hrs 4 off road bikes in the area of Shotley Grove Road, all riders were wearing face masks and one of the bikes was orange. An area search was conducted with no trace of the bikes. If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to the incident or where the bike is coming from, please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote incident no. DHM-17042026-0463
