Rise in catalytic converter thefts We are seeing a sharp increase in reports of catalytic converter thefts; this could be due to the value of rhodium and palladium which are inside the converters. Hybrid vehicles are the most targeted, but any vehicle can be at risk. Thefts occur most frequently in car parks, but they can happen anywhere.
