Good news update - catapult incidents

Hello all,

I have a positive update for you around the recent rise in catapult-catapult-related incidents in my wards, which I posted about the other day. I understand this has been causing concern, and have organised for my colleagues in the Community Safety Unit to assist me in carrying out increased patrols. These have focused on locations identified from information provided by members of the public.

Today, colleagues responded to reports of youths firing catapults in Minster, and following a short foot chase a seventeen year old was taken into custody for weapon and damage related offences. A catapult and ball bearings were recovered and have been seized. The investigation will now be continued by colleagues in the Victim Based Crime Team. 

The response from members of the public has been excellent, with lots of helpful information received, thank you all! I will do my best to reply to all emails as soon as I'm able.
